A high-capacity venue
The Big Top of the Espace Fontvieille is one of the largest reception areas in the Principality of Monaco designed to welcome the general public.

This high-capacity space can hold up to 1,600 people for a sit-down dinner and 1,800 people for a stand up drinks party. The installation of extra rows of seats allows the big top to welcome up to 3,800 people, and nearly 6,000 visitors if the outdoor esplanades are used.
The most famous big top for the Circus Arts
Since 1974 the Big Top of the Espace Fontvieille has been a permanent fixture that represents the longevity of the key event it was created for at the behest of Prince Rainier III of Monaco, i.e. the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo.

H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie took over the presidency of the world’s largest Circus Festival in 2005 and during the gala evening she presents the greatest prize in the world of Circus: the Gold Clown.
